- 1 cup dates, pitted
- 12 c. almonds
- 12 CUP PEANUTS
- a third of a cup of cocoa powder
- Chia seeds, 1 tbsp.
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil for icing
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Directions
Step 1
In a dish, place the dates and cover them with hot water until they are completely submerged. Allow dates to soak for 10 minutes or until softened. Drain the water in a colander.
Step 2
Prepare a baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
Step 3
In the bowl of a food processor, pulse almonds, pecans, cocoa powder, and chia seeds until well combined. Process the dates and salt until smooth. Transfer to the baking pan that has been prepared.
Step 4
To make the icing, combine coconut oil, cocoa powder, and honey. Apply to the tops of the brownies.
