Covid-19 testing is available to everyone who lives in New Jersey. Anyone currently living or working in New Jersey can get tested at one of the 400+ testing sites across New Jersey.
The State of New Jersey has allowed more than 18,000 licensed pharmacists to provide their customers with COVID-19 testing. As a convenience to New Jersey residents who want to get tested for COVID-19, the Department of Health has also issued a standing order allowing pharmacists to do so without a prescription.
There is now a test to identify a COVID Virus-19 infection, which can be conducted at any pharmacy in New Jersey, as well as certain health care facilities and locations set up by counties and cities. You can find a testing site in the following counties: Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren
A backlog in the testing of the virus may occur due to increased cases. New Jersey has worked to expand its capabilities in order to handle an increase in cases to ensure the tests are completed quickly.
Note: Some testing sites require an appointment in advance. Before going to a testing site for blood work, please reach out to the testing site for information on what to expect.
