White House orders more vaccines
The Biden Administration announced on February 11, 2021, they had reserved an additional 200 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the U.S. total to 600 million. The White House announced, it ordered enough doses to vaccinate all American adults by July.
The White House will send out 13.5 million Covid-19 vaccination doses per week. Just last week, the White House was sending only 11 million covid-19 vaccination doses each week.
The U.S. is already averaging about 1.61 million doses per day on average. By ordering 200 million more doses of Covid-19 vaccines, the U.S. will have enough supply for 300 million Americans by the end of July.

Commissioner Judy Persichilli of the Department of Health has asked those vaccinated to return to the same site for their second dose. All second doses will be shipped to the same site in which the first dose was received.
The new Johnson & Johnson vaccination should increase the potential for residents to be vaccinated. The Johnson & Johnson only requires one dose to be administered. It does not have to be kept at the lower temperatures that the Pfizer and Modena vaccines must be stored. Thus the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be more mobile. According to Persichilli, “The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be able to be available closer to where individuals live.”
Johnson & Johnson intends to distribute the vaccine to the U.S. government immediately following authorization and expects to supply 100 million doses to the U.S. in the first half of 2021
